A revival of German Expressionism and a fusion between horror and auteur films.
A young man named Johan wakes up in an empty church in the middle of a ghost town. Much as a child in a man's body he is lost, with no memories, unable to speak and haunted by visions that he cannot understand. His father, communicating through an old radio, tells him that he is being kept prisoner by the evil demons living in the town. Pushed by a heroic heart, Johan sets out on a mission to overcome darkness and save his father
